The Accelar 8000 chassis features a passive switching architecture that is designed to provide high availability for the wide range of supported technologies. Up to three load-sharing and load-balancing power supplies can be installed, with a fully loaded chassis able to operate with any two power supplies present, providing N+1 power redundancy. All power supplies can be hot-swapped. Both AC and DC power supplies are available, allowing the chassis to be deployed in both enterprise and service provider networks. Fan-trays (dual in the 10-slot chassis) are provided for cooling, and include hot-swap capability.
